Sofia Papathoma, MD, DDS, MSc

Education & career

Dermatologist – Venereologist Sofia Papathoma graduated from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2004. Continuing her education, she also graduated from the School of Dentistry of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2013. Her qualifications include a postgraduate diploma in the Principles of Oncology from the University of Athens, as well as a master’s degree in Health Care Management from the French university CNAM.

During her career she trained in Internal Medicine at the G. Papanikolaou General Hospital of Thessaloniki for two years, from 2008 to 2010, and subsequently served at the Kalandra regional practice and the Kassandreia Health Centre in Halkidiki for one year. She was a scientific associate of the Oral Medicine Clinic of the School of Dentistry of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

She completed her specialty training at the Hospital of Venereal and Skin Diseases of Thessaloniki, obtaining her specialty title. In 2019 she returned from Belgium, where she had been working as a dermatologist in a private dermatology clinic. From 2020 she collaborated with the 2nd University Dermatology Clinic of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki at the Papageorgiou General Hospital as a scientific associate. In 2025 she completed the Postgraduate Programme in Dermoscopy of the School of Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

Since 2023 she runs her private practice, Skinwise, practising clinical dermatology for adults and children, aesthetic dermatology, minor dermatologic surgery, as well as consulting on oral medicine cases.

She is a wife and mother of two children.
